Vybz Kartel In Good Health, Ready For NYE Concert, Says Joe Bogdanovich

Vybz Kartel

CEO of Downsound Entertainment Josef Bogdanovich says Vybz Kartel is in good health and ready to perform at the Freedom Street concert on New Year’s Eve, which will be held at the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica.

“Vybz is working with a nutritionist everyday, he’s in the gym, the man is ready, and rehearsals are going well, it truly is something to see,” he shared with DancehallMag.

“We are excited for Vybz Kartel. He’s been a great man in the music for a long while now and at age 48, has the spirit and hunger of a new artist. The man has been locked up for thirteen years, he’s so happy to be out, this is a Vybz Kartel for everyone, a family man.”

Bogdanovich is aware of the concerns about vehicular security and assured that their trained and adept security personnel will be highly engaged.

“We pay for our security, we spend money on the details and the things that matter, we’re ready for about 40-45,000 persons, and we don’t feed into anything negative.”

He explained, “we’re doing everything needed for a concert of this magnitude. Vybz Kartel is no ordinary figure and our staff is at the root of everything we do here to make a spectacular production.”

On December 31, Freedom Street will not only see Vybz Kartel performing through transitional phases of his career spanning two decades, and as a newly freed man after close to thirteen years behind bars, but also some of Hip Hop’s trending names who are fans of the ‘Gaza Governor’.

“We’re looking at names like Cardi B and Drake right now who are excited to be next to Vybz Kartel,” the businessman revealed.

Showtime is 10 pm.
