Reggae and Dancehall superstar Buju Banton continued his ‘The Overcomer Tour’ at a packed Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Sunday, November 17.

Returning to the New York City borough after 15 years, the Champion singer, 51, and his Til Shiloh Band delivered a two-hour performance to a sold-out crowd of over 18,500 fans, according to a release.

Clad in all white, Banton captivated the audience with his signature hits and special guests Wayne Wonder, Gramps Morgan, and Ras Shiloh, who added to the evening’s magic.

Notably, Wayne and Buju recreated the golden era of reggae and dancehall to roaring applause when they shared the stage for nostalgic renditions of classics like No Letting Go, Saddest Day, Joy Ride, and Bonafide Love.

Gramps reflected on his 25-year journey with Buju, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to perform alongside him on the tour, while Ras Shiloh and Buju performed Complaint, which was originally recorded with the late Garnett Silk.

“I thank you for loving reggae music,” Banton said as he exited the stage. “We have shown the world that reggae music is the music of the people and will uplift the people no matter where they are from, as long as we have a chance to come together we will. Until I see you again, I give you my heart and I leave you with my light, LOVE YOU.”

“The Overcomer Tour continues into 2025, fans can expect more exhilarating performances in new cities, with dates to be announced soon,” the release added.

Banton’s next performances will occur at the Intimate Concert Jamaica on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at St Thomas on February 14, and St Croix on February 15, 2025.
