Davianah Revelling In Her ‘F Season’ EP
Dancehall singer Davianah — the rebellious firebrand who is also the daughter of Reggae star Tony Rebel — is pleased with the reviews from fans and her peers to her latest EP, F…Season.
“The songs are dope, that’s all I keep hearing on social media. Despite what they say, I don’t have that many explicit songs and I’ve met a lot of my supporters who said they were missing that sexy sensual side from me so I decided to deliver and the EP is a bonafide success,” she said.
The EP features six tracks: Lockdown featuring NHance, After featuring Jahshii, Personal featuring Seggy, Whole Night, Belong To You and Mi Nah Lef.
The project was released on her Davianah Music label on November 4.
“Most of the producers on this album are my favourite. They’re not only producers I work with, they are my friends. One producer called Acka, I met him through Nhance, and I only worked with a few times but he is an amazing talent. And just like the connections I have with the others, I developed that with him as well, that’s why all the songs came out the way they did,” she explained.
Davianah isn’t booked for any major shows this Christmas Season as she will be focusing on Rebel Salute 2025.
“It’s that time of the year again when I’m closed off for the main event: Rebel Salute 2025. My workload becomes hectic this time of year so I reserve my energy for the festival and the promotion of my latest EP,” she said.
Davianah made her music debut at Reggae Sumfest 2011 during Tony Rebel’s set, doing a cover of Estelle’s ‘Come Over’ that elicited a huge response from the crowd. She performed on Reggae Sumfest 2017 and ‘Reggae on the Hill’ in Barbados, and she wowed fans during a controversial Rebel Salute set in 2019 that set tongues wagging because of her bold fashion choices.
