Jada Kingdom, Burna Boy Celebrate His Birthday In Amsterdam Amid Dating Rumors
The internet is ‘shipping Jada Kingdom and Burna Boy after she was captured celebrating his 32nd birthday on Sunday.
The Jamaican singer seemed to be backstage at his concert in The Netherlands on Saturday, following snaps she posted on Instagram where she jammed out to live music, showing her location as “Amsterdam”.
Her presence was confirmed when she was seen by his side at a club as he rang in his birthday with loved ones.
Before this, his family had surprised him on stage with a cake which he gave away to patrons.
Recapping the night, he wrote on Twitter: “Midnight of the 2nd, doing what I love, Headlining a festival In front of 45,000 amazing people. I wouldn’t have it any other way. Thank you. Love, Damini.”
‘Damini,’ Burna Boy’s real name, is what started the dating rumors.
In early June, madam Twinkle posted photos wearing a chain resembling one usually sported by Burna Boy, which bears his given name. While she blurred out most of the letters on the chain, online detectives did a side-by-side, which kickstarted the speculations.
Neither artist has addressed the dating rumors.
Kingdom’s last public relationship ended late last year with US rapper Nas EBK, but her most known union was with all-round musician Verse Simmonds.
The two met in 2018 through an A&R, and while he started as her producer, they’d soon become inseparable, with Kingdom even relocating to the States.
In a Q&A session to premiere their Bedroom Bully collaboration in 2020, the former couple spilled the tea on aspects of their relationship, including plans for marriage and a baby carriage.
“Mek mi tell unno di tings dem people cause him nah tell unno di tings dem,” Kingdom said. “Mi a go breed, belly a go big and shine, and him a go out a ring pon it, period…and we a go live happily ever after.”
She added that Simmonds was “super caring…him gi the best advice and him just know how fi deal wid mi and him know how fi calm mi down and him just know wah fi seh all the time. Him just mek mi feel really safe. He’s my home, just perfect.”
In early 2021, Simmonds was credited for helping Jada land a deal with Republic Records, but she recently announced her split from the label, citing a desire for greater control over her music.
The pair seemed to part ways in 2021 when Kingdom removed a tattoo of his name, a process she also underwent with Nas EBK.
While the internet plays guessing games on her relationship status, Kingdom has been celebrating her sexual identity on TikTok.
The Win hitmaker announced that she’s a lesbian in 2021, and frequently toasts the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) community on TikTok through pride-related hashtags and emojis.
In one post, Kingdom boasted, “My future wife gona be one lucky & blessed b!itch”.
Burna Boy’s last public relationship was with British-Jamaican artist Stefflon Don which went on for two and a half years before they called it quits in 2021.
